Tashan Events was born in November 2019, as a 2SLGBTQIA+ events organization celebrating the South Asian culture and diaspora through a variety of musical events. Tashan takes pride in fostering connections, creating safe spaces for queer audiences and representing diversity and inclusivity through its themes, music and patrons at all its events.
The events are held throughout the year around the Greater Toronto Area featuring cultural nostalgic themes, catchy music by talented DJs, and scintillating performances by various queer artists representing the South Asian diaspora. The vibe is dazzling, fun, and truly inclusive where everyone including our allies show us support, a testament to our principles that we are here for you, and you are here for us!
Sanyam
Founder
Sanyam, pronounced “Sayam”, is the Founder of Tashan Events. He was born and raised in India, and worked and lived across 9 cities before choosing to call Toronto his now home. He has worked with some famous queer events organizations and is passionate about creating memorable experiences for Queer South Asian diaspora that bring people together to build and foster connections. He aims to build new and vibrant events catering to all sections of the desi community in North America and beyond.
